Day 6 - Cartegena - The total tourist

Today, unfortunately for all of these photos it rained all day. It was a freak weather pattern as it never rains this time of year, but it washed out all of the photos - oh well.

I really did play the tourist today and took a real guided tour of the city. The first stop was a church on a hill - near heaven - and these are the photos from that view.

The second stop on the tour was the fort that the Spanish built to defend the walled city. It really did need defending as every other super power of the time was trying to take this place from the Spanish.

The old city or the walled city is the tourist place. We stayed at the Sofitel Santa Clara, an old nunnery, and one of two five star hotels in Cartegena.

A look at the wall - hence the name - walled city.

The front of the Sofitel to the right and the courtyard in the evening below. Someone taught me how to use the camera to take time exposures.

In Cartegena the total group had a wonderful dinner at an exclusive reataurant - really greeat sea food.

This is Steve and Judy to the left. You can put your own caption on Steve's photo.

Judy and her son Brian.

Behn and Rita. Great arms!

The group including me and Kevin - the hefe..
