Day 27 Bariloche to Buenos Aires Argentina

Finally a boring uneventful flight! I know that sounds dumb but today's flight was darn right boring - I love it. It seems like none of them have been boring lately. The weather leaving Bariloche was stunning, cool and brilliant blue skies. The Argentinian people are much much more efficient in getting us in and out of the airports quickly and efficiently. The controllers still don't speak English any better then anywhere else, but everything else is way better.
I rested a lot in Bariloche and now I feel much better and ready for BA!
My short - short final shot that I forgot on landing. Well actually it is on take off - duh, but it is the best I could do.
Saying goodbye to the lake district and Patagonia.

Saying good bye to The Andes and all of the beautiful volcanoes.
Saying good bye to Patric as he zooms overhead at a breakneck 40 ish knots faster.
Say hello to the flat flat plains. Looks like anywhere East of the Rockies.
Flat flat flat.
Descending into BA.
Big city.
GPS shot.
More BA.
Airport coming into view and so is the Atlantic Ocean.

The airport we chose is a smaller airport in the greater BA area. It would be like landing in Van Nuys for an LA visit. There were 4 to choose from.
This is one of the smaller with a 4600 foot runway. It sure is easier to take photos when you can see the runway and not bouncing all over the cockpit.
On the ground at San Fernando airport in BA.
Chris' shot.
I took a walk after cleaning up and discovered an exhibit in a square, of bears, each one painted by an artist in a different country in the world. There were hundreds - I hadn't heard of some of the countries, but it looked like the whole world. I will take some pictures tomorrow. I had dinner (yummy pizza) with a friend of Laura Stupsker's that lives here. She gave me the lay of the land for a 2 day visit. Tomorrow I am taking a tour and then going to dive into the list. I want to try and see as much as I can while I am here.
You should hear how they speak here - I don't even feel that I speak any of the language - so much for my confidence in Spanish.

  2. If you get in trouble in BA...and I recommend you do...call my nephew at the US Embassy (Richard Glenn) and he can help you out. Eat a steak. Do the Tango. Have fun!
