Today was a day off in Santiago. I did go on a morning city tour which was not that great, but at least I got out. This the changing of the guard at the presidential palace.
Watching this with all of the tourists, hmmmm, oh well.

The funicular.An easy day that included a bath and a nap and a little work but all in all very nice to have a day without the mental work of flying. Tomorrow I am going to Easter Island which is a 5 hour commercial flight.
Marco Polo. Marco Polo. Those statues (aka your new bff's) look very similar to those in Easter Island. Hmmm wonder if the ancient people of Chile are related to those on Easter Island (or vice versa). If they are, can you find out how long the canoe ride took?
